Last Minute Festival Updates For Attendees
Outdoor Stage Location Change
The threat of rain has prompted organizers of the T-Bone Walker Blues Fest to move the location of the outdoor stage for Friday and Saturday performances.
Officials decided Wednesday evening to adopt the "rainy day" backup plan in which the stage will be placed under cover of the Large Agriculture Pavilion. This location affords both musicians and fans adequate shelter from the forecast rain showers, said festival producer Marc Welch.
Additional covered seating is available in the Small Agriculture Pavilion, located immediately south of the large pavilion.
The original "sunny day" plan called for the stage to be located in the open field south of the Maude Cobb Convention Center building.
No changes are planned for the main stage inside Maude Cobb Convention Center building.
A very limited number of bleacher seats will be available in the pavilion, so fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Vehicle entry for the venue will be via the main Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex entrance, Grand Blvd off of Cotton Street, then west into the parking area south of the Rodeo Arena.
Festival gates open at 4:00 PM Friday, with performances starting at 5:30. Saturday opening is at 1:00 PM with Big Gus and Swampadelic taking the stage at 2:00.
Online Ticket Sales Closed - Buy at The Gate
Online ticket sales closed at Midnight last night. Tickets will be available to purchase at the gate for both days.
